unit 30 d1

A HP Desognjet Z5200PS series is a large format printer which haves the features of saving half the steps needed to create a print . You can submit many files at a time directly to a printer without having to wait to open a application it also has the features of producing a large variety of long lasting applications using HP Vivera pigment links this improves the business because it means you can produce large posters what can be expensive so if the company has its own then it may cost a lot at the beginning of the process but when expensive is paid you would gradually save money.

Laser Cutters make images be able to be printed so they can be stuck on windows and be waterproof this would be used by advertising companies. Laser cutters print in a high resolution so they do not go out of focus when they’re expanded. Laser cutters can go up to 1246mm x 710mm. Laser cutters send a high powered laser through optics. Computer numerical control is what is used to control the direction of the laser. Laser cutters get used in places such as businesses. Laser cutting developed even further in 1967, when a British man developed a laser cutter that can cut through metals. Laser cutters are used to cut through titanium for space facilities. Laser cutters are now used for a wide multiple of things such as piping metals and flat sheet materials.

A 48"refine vinyl cutter/plotter would be useful in the company because it makes different shapes which means you don’t have to buy them meaning the company saves money. They cut writing and pictures that can be stuck onto canvas such as vans. The images need to be bitmap so when enlarged and expanded they don’t go blurry or pixelated. Using a bitmap the images can be changed to any size. An example of a van that uses Vinyl Cutters is the Sky van this is because the whole van is covered by a picture. Vans wouldn’t have big logos or images on their vans due to the low quality.

3D Printing is when you print out a physical object when using a digital file through the process of additive process. The process of 3D printing is when you repetitively lay down successive layers to get the end outcome of a physical object. To print 3D you need to create a virtual design by using a computer aided design file using a 3D modelling programme. However you can also print 3D by using a 3D scanner to scan a physical object. In preparation phase the programme slices the virtual design into thousands of layers. Then the printer will print the object by a layering process.

Inkjet printing places small drops of ink onto paper to create an image. The ink droplets are very small they are only about 50-60 microns in diameter. This in affect makes the overall image more detailed than other images and gives it a higher resolution. These images would be more expensive as they’re of a higher quality. RIP software would be used to make the inkjet printing easier. Inkjet printing can handle many files and file sizes.  Inkjet printing is much easier now as it used to have a more complicated process such as printing then having to add an adhesive board to make sure the ink was waterproof, whereas now it does it all in one.
